It was a joy and privilege to know Philippa. Her Thanksgiving Service showed such a full and wonderful picture of her life, but the total impact on so many of us will only be fully known in heaven, where she now is. I am grateful for her love and gentleness - and her guidance to me working on the Care Home Services. She is sorely missed by all who knew and loved her, and our prayers are with Bill and the family. I look back to fond memories of working with Philippa leading the 'Overcomers' course at what is now Citygate Church. Philippa's skill and capacity as a teacher was utilised to great effect, as we sought to bring the grace of God, in Christ to bear into the lives of many who were struggling with life. Philppa knew that the local church was about mission and lived her life consistently, accordingly. Her generosity of spirit impacted my life in a way that I will always be grateful for.

I met Philippa when I was a student on an ITN course in autumn 1998. I had never taught before and the whole experience was intensive and full of new challenges. I particularly remember Philippa's calm, professional and gentle nature which reassured me throughout and encouraged me to complete the course. Philippa and Janet and the team equipped me for a profession which has taken me to many countries and enabled me to work with many wonderful people from a range of backgrounds and faiths. I know I am just one of hundreds whose lives have been changed through Philippa's work with ITN and she continues to impact the world through her investment in others. What a wonderful lady, full of love and grace - an inspiration to us all.
