I first met Philippa in 1997 when I began to work with International Training Network (ITN), and since 2005 the two of us have worked very closely together, day by day, maintaining and developing the rewarding work of training Christians to teach English. We worked side by side in the office and on innumerable intensive training courses and had a tremendously good, happy, fruitful working relationship. The best working relationship I have ever had, and a wonderful, irreplaceable friendship. We worked harmoniously and productively together on so many different projects, we truly appreciated each other's skills, we affirmed each other, we discussed, we stimulated each other with ideas, we commiserated with each other, we laughed together and prayed together. Philippa was exceptionally gifted yet modest about her skills. What fun we had! What stimulating and rewarding times of training and project development we had! What good times of fellowship and prayer we had! What lovely lunchtime walks along the country lanes, watching the changing of the seasons, blackberrying in the autumn, and always sharing, supporting and understanding each other! What a lovely friendship we had. Dearest Philippa, I will miss you more than I can possibly say. Janet Lucas
